Hello everybody!
After four weeks at opt2o, my internship is unfortunately over this week. Time to reflect and tell you what has happened since the last opt2date.
For two weeks, I am allowed to work on a new project, the Global School:
Students from all over Europe are coming to our organisation in Vienna to gain the first time practical experiences abroad. They work on various projects and receive a variety of tasks such as designing a website or a logo. Together with Constantin, I was allowed to supervise and photograph 43 students from Slovakia, Hungary as well as Poland. Because of the interesting tasks and the given responsibility, I got excited very quickly. On Friday September 20th & 27th we were also with the students at the big Fridays for Future demonstrations in Vienna, in which an impressive atmosphere prevailed and where everyone fall under its spell immediately.
Overall, I had a wonderful time with the opt2o community and would do the internship again, anytime. Not only did I learn and experience a lot of new things, I also developed new friendships beyond my work life. So I’m pretty sure that our ways will cross again, in any way. With all involved, I would like to thank you for great four weeks. Especially Helmut & Christoph, who always supported me and who were always important that I feel good. I would also like to thank Catharina for her hospitality at Hug Inn, both made me feel welcome from the beginning.

Hallo zusammen,
nach vier Wochen bei opt2o, ist mein Praktikum leider diese Woche zu Ende. Zeit zu reflektieren und euch auf den neuesten Stand zu bringen, was denn so seit dem letzten opt2date passiert ist.
Seit nunmehr 2 Wochen darf ich an einem neuen Projekt mitarbeiten, der Global School: Hierbei kommen Schüler aus ganz Europa zu unserer Organisation nach Wien und können ihre ersten praktischen Erfahrungen im Ausland sammeln. Sie arbeiten an verschiedenen Projekten und erhalten vielfältige Aufgaben, wie das Erstellen einer Website oder eines Logos. Zusammen mit Constantin durfte ich 43 Studenten aus der Slowakei, Ungarn und Polen betreuen und fotografisch begleiten.
Da die Arbeit sehr abwechslungsreich war und mir auch viel Verantwortung übertragen wurde, konnte ich mich sehr schnell für die Global School begeistern. Mit den Schülern waren wir dann auch am Freitag den 20.09 sowie am 27.09 auf der großen Fridays for Future Demonstration in Wien, bei der eine beeindruckende Atmosphäre herrschte, die alle sofort in ihren Bann zog.
Insgesamt hatte ich eine wundervolle Zeit bei opt2o und würde das Praktikum auch jederzeit wiederholen. Ich habe nicht nur viel Neues gelernt und erlebt, sondern es haben sich auch über das berufliche hinaus, neue Freundschaften entwickelt.
So bin ich mir auch ziemlich sicher, dass sich unsere Wege wieder kreuzen werden, in welcher Weise auch immer. Bei allen beteiligten, möchte ich mich herzlichst bedanken für tolle vier Wochen. Besonders aber bei Helmut und Christoph, die mich immer unterstützt haben und denen immer wichtig war, dass ich mich wohl fühle. Auch bei Catharina, möchte ich mich für die Gastfreundschaft im Hug Inn bedanken, wodurch ich mich von der ersten Minute Willkommen gefühlt habe.
Und so verlasse ich Wien vollgepackt mit schönen Erinnerungen mit eher zwei weinenden Augen und freue mich jetzt schon auf ein Wiedersehen. Wer auch ein Praktikum bei opt2o machen will, braucht uns einfach nur über info@opt2o.org eine Email schreiben. Wir freuen uns über jede helfende Hand.
